John 13
Now before the feast of the passover, Yahshua knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own that were in the world, he loved them to the end. 2 And the supper being set out, the devil having already put into the heart of Judah Iscariot, Simon’s son to betray him, 3 Yahshua, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he came forth from Yahweh, and goes to Yahweh, 4 rises from supper, and lays aside his garments; and he took a towel, and girded himself. 5 Then he pours water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded. 6 So he comes to Simon Peter. He says to him, Rabbi, do you wash my feet? 7 Yahshua answered and said to him, What I do you do not know now; but you shall understand after this. 8 Peter says to him, You shall never wash my feet. Yahshua answered him, If I do not wash you, you have no part with me. 9 Simon Peter says to him, Rabbi, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. 10 Yahshua says to him, He that is bathed needs not save to wash his feet, but is wholly clean: and you are clean, but not all. 11 For he knew him that should betray him; therefore said he, You are not all clean.
12 So when he had washed their feet, and taken his garments, and sat down again, he said to them, Do you know what I have done to you? 13 You call me, Teacher, and, Rabbi, and you say well; for so I am. 14 If I then, the Rabbi and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you. 16 Truly, truly, I say to you, A servant is not greater than his Master; neither one that is sent greater than he that sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. 18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, He that eats my bread lifted up his heel against me. 19 From now on I tell you before it comes to pass, that when it has come to pass, you may believe that I am he. 20 Truly, truly, I say to you, He that receives whoever I send receives me; and he that receives me receives him that sent me.
21 When Yahshua had thus said, he was troubled in the spirit, and testified, and said, Truly, truly, I say to you, that one of you shall betray me. 22 The disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spoke. 23 There was at the table reclining in Yahshua’s bosom one of his disciples, whom Yahshua loved. 24 Simon Peter therefore beckons to him, and says to him, Tell us who it is of whom he speaks. 25 He leaning back, as he was, on Yahshua’s breast says to him, Rabbi, who is it? 26 Yahshua therefore answers, He it is, for whom I shall dip the sop, and give it to him. So when he had dipped the sop, he takes and gives it to Judah, the son of Simon Iscariot. 27 And after the sop, then Satan entered into him. Yahshua therefore says to him, What you do, do quickly. 28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spoke this to him. 29 For some thought, because Judah had the bag, that Yahshua said to him, Buy what things we have need of for the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor. 30 He then having received the sop went out straightway: and it was night.
31 When therefore he had gone out, Yahshua says, Now is the Son of man glorified, and Yahweh is glorified in him; 32 and Yahweh shall glorify him in himself, and straightway shall he glorify him. 33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You shall seek me: and as I said to the Jews, Where I go, you cannot come; so now I say to you. 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another.
36 Simon Peter says to him, Rabbi, Where are you going? Yahshua answered, Where I go, you cannot follow me now; but you shall follow afterwards. 37 Peter says to him, Teacher, why cannot I follow you even now? I will lay down my life for you 38 Yahshua answers, Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, The cock shall not crow, till you have denied me three times.
John 14
Let not your heart be troubled: believe in Yahweh, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go, you know the way. 5 Thomas says to him, Rabbi, we know not where you go; how do we know the way? 6 Yahshua says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but by me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also: from now on you know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip says to him, Rabbi, show us the Father, and it suffices us. 9 Yahshua says to him, Have I been so long time with you, and do you not know me, Philip? He that has seen me has seen the Father; how say you, Show us the Father? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I say to you I speak not from myself: but the Father remaining in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. 12 Truly, truly, I say to you, He that believes on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father. 13 And whatever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you shall ask anything in my name, that will I do. 15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that it may be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth: that the world cannot receive; for it beholds it not, neither knows it: you know it; for it remains with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you desolate: I come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world beholds me no more; but you behold me: because I live, you shall live also. 20 In that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judah (not Iscariot) says to him, Teacher, what has come to pass that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world? 23 Yahshua answered and said to him, If a man loves me, he will keep my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loves me not keeps not my words: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
25 These things have I spoken to you, while yet remaining with you. 26 But the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, which the Father will send in my name, it shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. 28 You heard how I said to you, I go away, and I come to you. If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father: for the Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it has come to pass, you may believe. 30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes: and he has nothing in me; 31 but that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go from this place.
John 15
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that bears not fruit, he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he cleanses it, that it may bear more fruit. 3 Already you are clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it remain in the vine; so neither can you, except you remain in me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches: He that remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit: for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If a man remain not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done to you. 8 In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so shall you be my disciples. 9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you: remain you in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you shall remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love. 11 These things have I spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. 12 This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends, if you do the things which I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knows not what his Master does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 These things I command you, that you may love one another. 18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, A servant is not greater than his Master. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things will they do to you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He that hates me hates my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which none other did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But this comes to pass, that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. 26 But when the Comforter has come, which I will send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, it shall bear witness of me: 27 and you also bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.
