Romans 1
Paul, a servant of Yahshua the Messiah, called to be an apostle, separated to the good tidings of Yahweh, 2 which he promised before through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, 3 concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, 4 who was declared to be the Son of Yahweh with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead; even Yahshua the Messiah our Master, 5 through whom we received grace and apostleship, to obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name’s sake; 6 among whom are you also, called to be Yahshua the Messiah’s: 7 to all that are in Rome, beloved of Yahweh, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from Yahweh our Father and the Sovereign Yahshua the Messiah.
8 First, I thank my Elohim through Yahshua the Messiah for you all, that your faith is proclaimed throughout the entire world. 9 For Yahweh is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the good tidings of His Son, how I unceasingly make mention of you, always in my prayers 10 making request, if by any means now at length I may be prospered by the will of Yahweh to come to you. 11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end that you may be established; 12 that is, that I with you may be comforted in you, each of us with the other’s faith, both yours and mine. 13 And I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come to you (and was held back until now), that I might have some fruit in you also, even as in the rest of the Gentiles. 14 I am debtor both to Greeks and Barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish. 15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to bring good tidings to you also that are in Rome.
16 For I am not ashamed of the good tidings: for it is the power of Yahweh for salvation to everyone that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For in this a righteousness to Yahweh is revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of Yahweh is revealed from heaven against all lawlessness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness; 19 because that which is known of Yahweh is manifest in them; for Yahweh manifested it to them. 20 For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and majesty; that they may be without excuse: 21 because that, knowing Yahweh, they did not glorify him as Elohim, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible Elohim for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.
24 For this reason Elohim gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves: 25 for that they exchanged the truth of Yahweh for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26 For this cause Yahweh gave them up to passions of dishonor: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men working indecency, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.
28 And even as they refused to have Elohim in their knowledge, Elohim gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 backbiters, hateful to Elohim, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful: 32 who, knowing the ordinances of Yahweh, that they that practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practice them.
Romans 2
For this reason you are without excuse, oh man, whoever you are that judge: for in what you judge one another, you condemn yourself; for you that judge practice the same things. 2 And we know that the judgment of Yahweh is according to truth against them that practice such things. 3 And reckon this, oh man, who judges them that practice such things, and does the same, that you shall escape the judgment of Yahweh? 4 Or do you despise the riches of his goodness and forbearance and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of Yahweh leads you to repentance? 5 but after your hardness and unrepentant heart you treasure for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of Yahweh; 6 who will render to every man according to his works: 7 to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life: 8 but to them that are factious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, shall be wrath and indignation, 9 tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that works evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek; 10 but glory and honor and peace to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek: 11 for there is no respect of persons with Elohim, 12 For as many as have sinned without the law shall also perish without the law: and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law; 13 for the hearers of the law are not just before Yahweh; but the doers of the law shall be justified: 14 (for when Gentiles that have not the law do by nature the things of the law, these, not having the law, are the law to themselves; 15 in that they show the works of the law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness of this, and their thoughts one with another accusing or else excusing them); 16 in the day when Elohim shall judge the secrets of men, according to my good tidings by Yahshua the Messiah.
17 But if you bear the name of a Jew, and rest upon the law, and glory in Yahweh, 18 and know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law, 19 and are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness, 20 a correcter of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth; 21 you therefore that teach another, do you not teach yourself? You that preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? 22 You that say a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You that hate idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who glory in the law, do you through your transgression of the law dishonor Yahweh? 24 For the name of Yahweh is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, even as it is written. 25 For circumcision is indeed profitable, if you are a doer of the law: but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. 26 If therefore the uncircumcision keep the ordinances of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision? 27 And shall not the uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfill the law, judge you, who with the letter and circumcision are a transgressor of the law? 28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh: 29 but he is a Jew which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, not the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of Yahweh.
Romans 3
What advantage then, does the Jew have? Or what is the profit of circumcision?
2 Much every way: first of all, that they were entrusted with the oracles of Yahweh. 3 For what if some were without faith? Shall their want of faith make of no effect the faithfulness of Yahweh? 4 By no means: yes, let Yahweh be found true, but every man a liar; as it is written,
That you might be justified in your words,
and might prevail when you come into judgment.
5 But if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of Yahweh, what shall we say? Is Yahweh unrighteous who visits with wrath? (I speak after the manner of men.) 6 By no means: for then how shall Elohim judge the world? 7 But if the truth of Yahweh through my lie increased to his glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? 8 And why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), Let us do evil, that good may come? Whose condemnation is just.
9 What then? Are we better than they are? No, in no wise: for we are all under sin; 10 as it is written,
There is none righteous, no, not one;
11 There are none that understand,
There are none that seek Elohim;
12 They have all turned aside, they have together become unprofitable;
There are none that do good, not so much as one:
13 Their throat is an open sepulchre;
With their tongues they have used deceit:
The poison of asps is under their lips:
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways;
17 And the way of peace they have not known:
18 There is no fear of Yahweh before their eyes.
19 Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to them that are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of Yahweh: 20 because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
21 But now apart from the law a righteousness of Yahweh has been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 even the righteousness of Yahweh through faith in Yahshua the Messiah to all them that believe; for there is no distinction; 23 for all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of Yahweh; 24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in the Messiah Yahshua: 25 whom Yahweh set forth to be a propitiation, through faith, in his blood, to show his righteousness because of the passing over of the sins formerly committed in the forebearance of Yahweh; 26 for the showing, I say, of his righteousness at this present season: that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him that has faith in Yahshua. 27 Where then is the glorying? It is excluded. By what manner of law? Of works? No: but by a law of faith. 28 We reckon therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. 29 Or is Yahweh the Elohim of the Jews only? Is he not the Elohim of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also: 30 if so be that Yahweh is one, and he shall justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through faith.
31 Do we then make the Law of no effect through faith? By no means: No, we establish the Law.
Romans 4
What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, has found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has a good cause to glory; but not toward Yahweh. 3 For what do the Scriptures say?
And Abraham believed Yahweh, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that works, the reward is not reckoned as of grace, but as of debt. 5 But to him that does not work, but believes on him who justifies the wicked, his faith is reckoned for righteousness. 6 Even as David also pronounces blessing upon the man, to whom Elohim reckons righteousness apart from works, 7 saying,
Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven,
And whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh will not reckon sin. 9 Is this blessing then pronounced on the circumcision, or upon the uncircumcision also? For we say, to Abraham his faith was reckoned for righteousness. 10 How then was it reckoned? When he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision: 11 and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might be reckoned to them; 12 and the father of circumcision to them who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham which he had in uncircumcision. 13 For not through the law was the promise to Abraham or to his seed that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if they that are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of no effect: 15 for the law works wrath; but where there is no law, neither is there transgression. 16 For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace; to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, 17 (as it is written, A father of many nations have I made you) before him whom he believed, even Yahweh, who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were. 18 Who in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, So shall your seed be. 19 And without being weakened in faith he considered his own body now as good as dead (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sara’s womb; 20 yet, looking to the promise of Yahweh, he did not waver through unbelief, but was made strong through faith, giving glory to Yahweh, 21 and being fully assured that what he had promised, he was also able to perform. 22 Therefore it was also reckoned to him for righteousness. 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, but it was reckoned to him; 24 but for our sake also, to whom it shall be reckoned, who believe on him that raised Yahshua our Master from the dead, 25 who was delivered up for our trespasses, and was raised for our justification.
