Psalm 67

Elohim be merciful to us, and bless us,

And, cause his face to shine upon us;

Selah

2 That your way may be known upon earth,

Your salvation among all nations.

3 Let the peoples praise you, O Elohim;

Let all the peoples praise you.

4 Oh let the nations be glad and sing for joy;

For you will judge the peoples with equity,

And govern the nations upon earth.

Selah

5 Let the peoples praise you, O Elohim;

Let all the peoples praise you.

6 The earth has yielded its increase:

Elohim, even our own Elohim, will bless us.

7 Elohim will bless us:

And all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

Psalm 68

Let Elohim arise, let his enemies be scattered;

Let them also that hate him flee before him.

2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away:

As wax melts before the fire,

So let the wicked perish at the presence of Elohim.

3 But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before Elohim:

Yes, let them rejoice with gladness.

4 Sing to Elohim, sing praises to his name:

Cast up a highway for him that rides through the deserts;

His name is Yah; and exult before him.

5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows,

is Elohim in his holy habitation.

6 Elohim sets the solitary in families:

He brings out the prisoners into prosperity;

But the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

7 O Elohim, when you went forth before your people,

When you marched through the wilderness;

Selah

8 The earth trembled,

The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of Elohim:

Yon Sinai trembled at the presence of Elohim, the Elohim of Israel.

9 You, O Elohim, did send a plentiful rain,

You did confirm your inheritance, when it was weary.

10 Your congregation dwelt in it:

You, O Elohim, did prepare of your goodness for the poor.

11 Yahweh gives the word:

The women that publish the tidings are a great host.

12 Kings of armies flee, they flee;

And she that stays at home divides the spoil.

13 When you lie among the sheepfolds,

It is as the wings of a dove covered with silver,

And her pinions with yellow gold.

14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it,

It was as when it snowed in Zalmon.

15 A mountain of Elohim is the mountain of Bashan;

A high mountain is the mountain of Bashan.

16 Why do you look askance, you high mountains,

At the mountain which Elohim has desired for his dwelling?

Yes, Yahweh will dwell in it forever.

17 The chariots of Elohim are twenty thousand, even thousands upon thousands:

Yahweh is among them, as in Sinai, in the sanctuary.

18 You have ascended on high, you have led away captives;

You have received gifts among men,

Yes, among the rebellious also, that Yah Elohim might dwell with them.

19 Blessed be Yahweh, who daily bears our burden,

Even the El who is our salvation.

Selah

20 El is to us an El of deliverances;

And to Yahweh the Sovereign belongs escape from death.

21 But Elohim will strike through the head of his enemies,

The hairy scalp of such a one as goes on still in his guiltiness.

22 Yahweh said, I will bring again from Bashan,

I will bring them again from the depths of the sea;

23 That you may crush them, dipping your foot in blood,

That the tongue of your dogs may have its portion from your enemies.

24 They have seen your goings, O Elohim,

Even the goings of my El my King, into the sanctuary.

25 The singers went before, the musicians followed after,

In the middle of the damsels playing with timbrels.

26 Bless Elohim in the congregations,

Even Yahweh, you that are of the fountain of Israel.

27 There is little Benjamin their ruler,

The princes of Judah and their council,

The princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.

28 Your Elohim has commanded your strength:

Strengthen, O Elohim, that which you have worked for us.

29 Because of your temple at Jerusalem

Kings shall bring presents to you.

30 Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds,

The multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples,

Trampling under foot the pieces of silver:

He has scattered the peoples that delight in war.

31 Princes shall come out of Egypt;

Ethiopia shall hurry to stretch out her hands to Elohim.

32 Sing to Elohim, you kingdoms of the earth;

O sing praises to Yahweh;

Selah

33 To him that rides upon the heaven of heavens, which are of old;

Lo, he utters his voice, a mighty voice.

34 Ascribe strength to Elohim:

His excellency is over Israel,

And his strength is in the skies.

35 O Elohim, you are terrible out of your holy places:

The El of Israel, he gives strength and power to his people.

Blessed be Elohim.

A Psalm of David.

Psalm 69

Save me, O Elohim;

For the waters have come in to my soul.

2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing:

I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

3 I am weary with my crying; my throat is dried:

My eyes fail while I wait for my Elohim.

4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head:

They that would cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty:

That which I took not away I have to restore.

5 O Elohim, you know my foolishness;

And my sins are not hid from you.

6 Let not them that wait for you be put to shame through me,

O Sovereign Yahweh of hosts:

Let not those that seek you be brought to dishonor through me,

O Elohim of Israel:

7 Because for your sake I have borne reproach;

Shame has covered my face.

8 I have become a stranger to my brethren,

And an alien to my mother’s children.

9 For the zeal of your house has eaten me up;

And the reproaches of them that reproach you have fallen upon me.

10 When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting,

That was to my reproach.

11 When I made sackcloth my clothing,

I became a byword to them.

12 They that sit in the gate talk of me;

And I am the song of the drunkards.

13 But as for me, my prayer is to you,

O Yahweh, in an acceptable time:

O Elohim, in the abundance of your lovingkindness,

Answer me in the truth of your salvation.

14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink:

Let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

15 Let not the waterflood overwhelm me,

Neither let the deep swallow me up;

And let not the pit shut its mouth upon me.

16 Answer me, O Yahweh; for your lovingkindness is good:

According to the multitude of your tender mercies turn to me.

17 And hide not your face from your servant;

For I am in distress; answer me speedily.

18 Draw near to my soul, and redeem it:

Ransom me because of my enemies.

19 You know my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonor:

My adversaries are all before you.

20 Reproach has broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness:

And I looked for some to take pity, but there was none;

And for comforters, but I found none.

21 They gave me also gall for my food;

And in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

22 Let their table before them become a snare;

And when they are in peace, let it become a trap.

23 Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see;

And make their loins continually to shake.

24 Pour out your indignation upon them,

And let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.

25 Let their habitation be desolate;

Let none dwell in their tents.

26 For they persecute him whom you have smitten;

And they tell of the sorrow of those whom you have wounded.

27 Add iniquity to their iniquity;

And let them not come into your righteousness.

28 Let them be blotted out of the book of life,

And not be written with the righteous.

29 But I am poor and sorrowful:

Let your salvation, O Elohim, set me up on high.

30 I will praise the name of Elohim with a song,

And will magnify him with thanksgiving.

31 And it will please Yahweh better than an ox,

Or a bullock that has horns and hoofs.

32 The meek have seen it, and are glad:

You that seek after Elohim, let your heart live.

33 For Yahweh hears the needy,

And despises not his prisoners.

34 Let heaven and earth praise him,

The seas, and everything that moves in it.

35 For Elohim will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah;

And they shall remain there, and have it in possession.

36 The seed also of his servants shall inherit it;

And they that love his name shall dwell in it.
