Psalm 1
Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stands in the way of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of scoffers:
2 But his delight is in the law of Yahweh;
And on his law does he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also does not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
4 The wicked are not so,
But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous;
But the way of the wicked shall perish.
Psalm 2
Why do the nations rage,
And the peoples meditate a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against Yahweh, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bonds asunder,
And cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sits in the heavens will laugh:
Yahweh will have them in derision.
5 Then will he speak to them in his wrath,
And vex them in his severe displeasure:
6 Yet I have set my king
Upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will tell of the decree:
Yahweh said to me, You are my son;
This day have I begotten you.
8 Ask of me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance,
And the utmost parts of the earth for your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10 Now therefore be wise, O you kings:
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve Yahweh with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
For his wrath will soon be kindled.
Blessed are all they that take refuge in him.
A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.
Psalm 3
Yahweh, how are my adversaries in creased!
Many are they that rise up against me.
2 Many there are that say of my soul,
There is no help for him in Elohim.

3 But you, O Yahweh, are a shield about me;
My glory, and the lifter up of my head.
4 I cry to Yahweh with my voice,
And he answers me out of his holy hill.

5 I laid myself down and slept;
I awoke; for Yahweh sustains me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of the people
That have set themselves against me all around.
7 Arise, O Yahweh; save me, O my Elohim:
For you have struck all my enemies upon the cheek bone;
You have broken the teeth of the wicked.
8 Salvation belongs to Yahweh:
Your blessing be upon your people.
