John 1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Yahweh, and the Word was Elohim. 2 The same was in the beginning with Yahweh. 3 All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that has been made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness; and the darkness could not master it. 6 There came a man, sent from Yahweh, whose name was John. 7 The same came for witness, that he might bear witness of the light, that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the light, but came that he might bear witness of the light. 9 There was the true light, even the light which lights every man, coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came to his own, and they that were his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of Yahweh, even to them that believe on his name: 13 who were begotten, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of Yahweh. 14 And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth. 15 John bears witness of him, and cries, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that comes after me has become before me: for he was before me. 16 For of his fulness we all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Yahshua the Messiah. 18 No man has seen Yahweh at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.
19 And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent to him from Jerusalem priests and Levites to ask him, Who are you? 20 And he confessed, and denied not; and he confessed, I am not the Messiah. 21 And they asked him, What then? Are you EliYah? And he says, I am not. Are you the prophet? And he answered, No. 22 They said therefore to him, Who are you? That we may give an answer to them that sent us. What do you say of yourself? 23 He said, I am the voice of one crying, In the wilderness make straight the way of Yahweh, as said Isaiah the prophet. 24 And they had been sent from the Pharisees. 25 And they asked him, and said to him, Why then baptize you, if you are not the Messiah, neither EliYah, neither the prophet? 26 John answered them, saying, I baptize in water: in the midst of you stands one whom you know not, 27 even he that comes after me, the strap of whose sandal I am not worthy to unloose. 28 These things were done in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
29 On the next day he sees Yahshua coming to him, and says, Behold, the Lamb of Yahweh, that takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is he of whom I said, after me comes a man who has become before me: for he was before me. 31 And I knew him not; but that he should be made manifest to Israel, for this cause I came baptizing in water. 32 And John bore witness, saying, I have beheld the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven; and it remained upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize in water, he said to me, Upon whomever you shall see the Spirit descending, and remaining upon him, the same is he that baptizes in the Holy Spirit. 34 And I have seen, and have borne witness that this is the Son of Elohim.
35 Again on the next day John was standing, and two of his disciples; 36 and he looked upon Yahshua as he walked, and says, Behold, the Lamb of Yahweh! 37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Yahshua. 38 And Yahshua turned, and beheld them following, and says to them, What are you seeking? And they said to him, Rabbi (which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), where do you dwell? 39 He says to them, Come, and you shall see. They came therefore and saw where he dwelled, and they remained with him that day: it was about the tenth hour. 40 One of the two that heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He finds first his own brother Simon, and says to him, We have found the Messiah (which is, being interpreted, the Anointed). 42 He brought him to Yahshua. Yahshua looked upon him, and said, You are Simon the son of John: you shall be called Cephas, (which is by interpretation, Peter).
43 On the next day he was minded to go forth into Galilee, and he finds Philip: and Yahshua says to him, Follow me. 44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip finds Nathanael, and says to him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote, Yahshua of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. 46 And Nathanael said to him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip says to him, Come and see. 47 Yahshua saw Nathanael coming to him, and says of him, Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! 48 Nathanael says to him, From where do you know me? Yahshua answered and said to him, Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you. 49 Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, you are the Son of Elohim; you are King of Israel. 50 Yahshua answered and said to him, Because I said to you, I saw you underneath the fig tree, you believe? You shall see greater things than these. 51 And he says to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, You shall see the heaven opened, and the angels of Elohim ascending and descending upon the Son of man.
John 2
And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Yahshua was there: 2 and Yahshua also was bidden, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when the wine failed, the mother of Yahshua says to him, They have no wine. 4 And Yahshua says to her, Woman, what have I to do with you? My hour has not yet come, 5 His mother says to the servants, Whatever he says to you, do it. 6 Now there were six waterpots of stone set there after the Jews’ manner of purifying, containing two or three firkins apiece. 7 Yahshua says to them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he says to them, Draw out now, and bear to the ruler of the feast. And they bore it. 9 And when the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and knew not from where it was (but the servants that had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast calls the bridegroom, 10 and says to him, Every man sets on first the good wine; and when men have drunk freely, then that which is worse: you have kept the good wine until now. 11 This beginning of his signs did Yahshua in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples; and there they remained not many days.
13 And the passover of the Jews was at hand, and Yahshua went up to Jerusalem. 14 And he found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: 15 and he made a scourge of cords, and cast all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew their tables: 16 and to them that sold the doves he said, Take these things from here: make not my Father’s house a house of merchandise. 17 His disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for your house shall eat me up. 18 The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign do you show to us, seeing that you do these things? 19 Yahshua answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20 The Jews therefore said, Forty-six years was this temple in building, and will you raise it up in three days? 21 But he spoke of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he spoke this; and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Yahshua had said.
23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, during the feast, many believed on his name, beholding his signs which he did. 24 But Yahshua did not trust himself to them, for that he knew all men, 25 and because he needed not that any one should bear witness concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
John 3
Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 the same came to him by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from Elohim, for no one can do these signs that you do, except Elohim be with him. 3 Yahshua answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of Yahweh. 4 Nicodemus says to him, how can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5 Yahshua answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of Yahweh. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said to you, You must be born anew. 8 The wind blows where it will, and you hear the voice of it, but know not from where it comes, and to where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said to him. How can these things be? 10 Yahshua answered and said to him, Are you the teacher of Israel, and understand not these things? 11 Truly, truly, I say to you, We speak that which we know, and bear witness of that which we have seen; and you receive not our witness. 12 If I told you earthly things and you believe not, how shall you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 And no one has ascended into heaven, but he that descended out of heaven, even the Son of man, who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up; 15 that whoever believes may in him have eternal life.
16 For Yahweh so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes on him should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For Yahweh sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him. 18 He that believes on him is not judged: he that believes not has been judged already, because he has not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of Yahweh. 19 And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. 20 For every one that does evil hates the light, and comes not to the light, lest his works should be reproved. 21 But he that does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be made manifest, that they have been worked in Yahweh.
22 After these things came Yahshua and his disciples into the land of Judea; and there he stayed with them, and baptized. 23 And John also was baptizing in Enon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. 24 For John was not yet cast into prison. 25 There arose therefore a questioning on the part of John’s disciples with a Jew about purifying. 26 And they came to John, and said to him, Rabbi, he that was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have borne witness, behold, the same baptizes, and all men come to him. 27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it has been given him from heaven. 28 You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Messiah, but, that I am sent before him. 29 He that has the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, that stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is made full. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 He that comes from above is above all: he that is of the earth is of the earth, and of the earth he speaks: he that comes from heaven is above all. 32 What he has seen and heard, of that he bears witness; and no man receives his witness. 33 He that has received his witness has set his seal to this, that Yahweh is true. 34 For he whom Yahweh has sent speaks the words of Yahweh: for he gives not the Spirit by measure. 35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. 36 He that believes on the Son has eternal life; but he that obeys not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim remains on him.
