1 Corinthians 1

Paul, called to be an apostle of Yahshua the Messiah through the will of Yahweh, and Sosthenes our brother, 2 to the assembly of Yahweh which is at Corinth, even them that are sanctified in the Messiah Yahshua, called saints, with all that call upon the name of our Sovereign Yahshua the Messiah in every place, their Master and ours: 3 Grace to you and peace from Yahweh our Father and the Sovereign Yahshua the Messiah.

4 I thank my Elohim always concerning you, for the grace of Yahweh which was given you in the Messiah Yahshua; 5 that in everything you were enriched in him, in all utterance and all knowledge; 6 even as the testimony of the Messiah was confirmed in you: 7 so that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our Sovereign Yahshua the Messiah; 8 who shall also confirm you to the end, that you be unreprovable in the day of our Sovereign Yahshua the Messiah. 9 Yahweh is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son Yahshua the Messiah our Master.

10 Now I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Sovereign Yahshua the Messiah, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it has been signified to me concerning you, my brethren, by them that are of the household of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now this I mean, that each one of you says, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cepha; and I of the Messiah. 13 Is the Messiah divided? Was Paul impaled for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul? 14 I thank Elohim that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius; 15 lest any man should say that you were baptized into my name. 16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other. 17 For the Messiah sent me not to baptize, but to preach the good tidings: not in wisdom of words, lest the torture stake of the Messiah should be made void.

18 For the word of the stake is to them that perish foolishness; but to us who are being saved it is the power of Yahweh. 19 For it is written,

I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,

And the discernment of the discerning will I bring to nothing.

20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Has Yahweh not made the wisdom of this world foolish? 21 For seeing that in the wisdom of Elohim the world through its wisdom did not know Yahweh, it was Yahweh’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save them that believe. 22 Seeing that Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek wisdom: 23 but we preach the Messiah impaled, to Jews a stumbling block, and to Gentiles foolishness; 24 but to them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, the Messiah is the power of Yahweh, and the wisdom of Yahweh. 25 Because the foolishness of Yahweh is wiser than men; and the weakness of Yahweh is stronger than men.

26 For behold your calling, brethren, that not many wise after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 but Yahweh chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and Yahweh chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong; 28 and the base things of the world, and the things that are despised, did Yahweh choose, yes and the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are:

29 that no flesh should glory before Elohim. 30 But of him are you in the Messiah Yahshua, who was made to us wisdom from Yahweh, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 that, according as it is written, He who glories, let him glory in Yahweh.

1 Corinthians 2

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of Yahweh. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you, save Yahshua the Messiah, and him impaled. 3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of Yahweh.

6 We speak wisdom, however, among them that are full grown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing: 7 but we speak Yahweh’s wisdom in a mystery, even the wisdom that has been hidden, which Yahweh foreordained before the worlds to our glory: 8 which none of the rulers of this world have known: for had they known it, they would not have impaled the Sovereign of glory: 9 but as it is written,

Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not,

And which entered not into the heart of man,

Whatever things Yahweh prepared for them that love him.

10 But to us Yahweh revealed them through the Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of Yahweh. 11 For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so none know the things of Yahweh, except the Spirit of Yahweh. 12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from Yahweh; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of Yahweh. 13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Spirit teaches; combining spiritual things with spiritual words. 14 Now the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of Yahweh: for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged. 15 But he that is spiritual judges all things, and he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who has known the mind of Yahweh, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of the Messiah.

1 Corinthians 3

And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual, but as to carnal, as babes in the Messiah. 2 I fed you with milk, not with meat; for you were not able to bear it: no, not even now are you able; 3 for you are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you jealousy and strife, are you not carnal, and do you not walk after the manner of men? 4 For when one says, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are you not men? 5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Ministers through whom you believed; and each as Yahweh gave to him. 6 I planted, Apollos watered; but Yahweh gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that plants anything, neither he that waters; but Yahweh that gives the increase. 8 Now he that plants and he that waters are one: but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9 For we are Yahweh’s fellow-workers: you are Yahweh’s husbandry, Yahweh’s building.

10 According to the grace of Yahweh which was given to me, as a wise master-builder I laid a foundation; and another builds upon it. But let each man take heed how he builds on it. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Yahshua the Messiah. 12 But if any man builds on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 each man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man’s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man’s work shall endure which he built on it, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as through fire.

16 Do you not know that you are a temple of Yahweh, and that the spirit of Yahweh dwells in you? 17 If any man destroys the temple of Yahweh, Yahweh shall destroy him; for the temple of Yahweh is holy, and you are such.

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with Yahweh. For it is written,

He that takes the wise in their craftiness:

20 and again,

Yahweh knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are vain.

21 Therefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours; 22 whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cepha, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; 23 and you are the Messiah’s; and the Messiah is Yahweh’s.

1 Corinthians 4

Let a man so account of us, as of ministers of the Messiah, and stewards of the mysteries of Yahweh. 2 Here, moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man is found faithful. 3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yes, I judge not my own self. 4 For I know nothing against myself; yet am I not justified by this: but he that judges me is Yahshua. 5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until Yahshua comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall each man have his praise from Yahweh.

6 Now these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes; that in us you might learn not to go beyond the things which are written; that none of you be puffed up for the one against the other. 7 For who makes you to differ? And what do you have that you did not receive? But if you did receive it, why do you glory as if you had not received it? 8 Already you are filled, already you have become rich, you have come to reign without us: yes and I wish that you did reign, that we also might reign with you. 9 For, I think, Elohim has set forth us the apostles last of all, as men doomed to death: for we are made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and men. 10 We are fools for the Messiah’s sake, but you are wise in the Messiah; we are weak, but you are strong; you have glory, but we have dishonor. 11 Even to this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place; 12 and we toil, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; 13 being defamed, we entreat: we are made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things, even until now.

14 I write these things not to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children. 15 For though you have ten thousand tutors in the Messiah, yet you have not many fathers; for in the Messiah Yahshua I have begotten you through the good tidings. 16 I beseech you therefore, be imitators of me. 17 For this cause have I sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful child in Yahweh, who shall put you in remembrance of my ways which are in the Messiah, even as I teach everywhere in every assembly. 18 Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you shortly, if Yahweh will; and I will know, not the word of them that are puffed up, but the power. 20 For the Kingdom of Yahweh is not in word, but in power. 21 What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?
